Alternate 3000 Foot Range

This range is similar to the 3000 Foot Range described elsewhere and shares the same transmit site with it. The receive end is located on a movable rail cart having an elevation over azimuth positioner in front of the shelter for measurement equipment and personnel. This range has been used for precision pattern measurements up to 94 GHz.

Note: As this range is infrequently used, it is maintained in a state of safe storage. Some cost and schedule impact should be anticipated and budgeted to support returning the range to the state of readiness required to support testing. Estimate available upon request. In particular, this range has access issues associated with its transmit site on the east Mesa and has some substatial damage of the transmit site test equipment that would need attention.
