1200 Foot Range

1200 Foot Range
1200 Foot Range

The 1200 Foot Range is operational from UHF to Ka-band, and features a three axis, highly accurate, high capacity azimuth over elevation over azimuth test positioner. This positioner is equipped with slip rings permitting full continuous 360 degree rotation in azimuth for applications such as raster scanning. The positioner is located on the roof of Building 260 which provides a convenient enclosure for measurement equipment and personnel. The transmit end of this range has a fixed mounting for transmit antennas and a shelter for the transmitting equipment. The terrain elevation profile of the range is shown below.

Note: As this range is infrequently used, it is maintained in a state of safe storage. Some cost and schedule impact should be anticipated and budgeted to support returning the range to the state of readiness required to support testing. Estimate available upon request.
