3000 Foot Range

3000 Foot Range Elevation Profile
3000 Foot Range Elevation Profile

The 3000 Foot Range is operational from L-band to Ku-Band and features a remotely controlled transmitter site with fixed mountings for up to a 12 ft diameter reflector transmit antenna. The test antenna end of the range has a multiple axis hydraulic, heavy lift azimuth over elevation over azimuth test antenna positioner located next to the control room building shown in the figure. The terrain elevation profile of the range is also shown.

Note: As this range is infrequently used, it is maintained in a state of safe storage. Some cost and schedule impact should be anticipated and budgeted to support returning the range to the state of readiness required to support testing. Estimate available upon request. In particular, this range has access issues associated with its transmit site on the east Mesa and has some substatial damage of the transmit site test equipment that would need attention.
